Marion County Prosecutor's Office - (1979 - 2005)

Chief of Staff / Chief Deputy (2000 -2005): Overall responsibility for management of twelve million dollar budget and supervision of three hundred fifty employees including one hundred thirty lawyers. Duties included:

leases, contracts, purchasing and accounts payable oversight;
- liaison to State and local legislative bodies; legislative drafting;
- liaison to all levels of the Indiana Judiciary;
- liaison to County, State and Federal executive agencies;
- liaison to the Indiana Attorney General's Office and the United States Department of Justice;
- human resources issues including hiring, terminations and employee benefits;
- numerous forms of administrative and management responsibilities including lease negotiation, construction and relocation of the entire Prosecutor's Office from five separate locations to a new central location without interruption of business;
- media relations.
